Formulated for the Future of Glass

PPG Flat Glass embarks on a new era with Vitro Glass

PPG Flat Glass has been acquired by Vitro Glass, a leading producer of architectural, automotive and specialty glass products.
As we embark on this exciting new beginning, you can continue to rely on us as the most specified brand of architectural glass in the industry and a leader in sustainable, energy efficient products, all backed by the same former PPG people, products, processes and plants you’re used to—plus new manufacturing capabilities. To support the new endeavor, Vitro has invested in a jumbo magnetron sputtered vacuum deposition (MSVD) coater, slated to be the largest of its kind in North America, to produce even larger expanses of high-performing, energy-efficient low-e glass.!
"The people and the processes will be the same…
From a customer appearance, nothing should change."
Dick Beuke, Vice President, PPG Flat Glass
"We’re excited to bring these two teams together…
to invest more in research and development
and add more value."
Adrian Sada Cueva, CEO, Vitro
Consistent Product Quality & Supply
We will continue to provide high-performance Solarban® coated glass products through our North American and international certified fabricator programs. The glass will be produced to the same quality standards as used by PPG and at PPG’s former existing production sites and distribution/fabrication facilities.

Throughout each organization’s history, PPG Flat Glass and Vitro Glass have demonstrated a commitment to innovation by providing market-leading glass products that deliver energy savings, inspired aesthetics and reduced building operating costs. The former PPG research and development center will continue to operate under Vitro with the goal of developing future generations of innovative glass products.
