Vitro Architectural Glass Announces New GlassFinder Tool

PITTSBURGH, March 26, 2024 – Vitro Architectural Glass has added to its digital tool collection, introducing GlassFinder™, a new tool to help architects identify the best glass products to achieve their aesthetic and performance goals for their next project.

Available in English and Spanish, Vitro’s new GlassFinder™ tool includes easy-to-navigate categories like appearance, including color and exterior reflectance, and performance, including solar heat gain coefficient (SHGC), visible light transmittance (VLT) and winter U-value. An open search bar allows users to search by specific product name. GlassFinder™ also features glass sample imagery, which gives users a visual representation of selected products.

Sungate ThermL™ glass, a fourth-surface low-e coating that dramatically increases thermal performance, wherever needed.

“We’re very pleased to offer this state-of-the-art and user-friendly tool to support architects in meeting appearance and energy efficiency needs for their next design,” said Fernando Diez, Vice President of Marketing, Vitro Glass. “GlassFinder™ is a one-stop shop that allows users to compare glass options by all the metrics available in the tool, then link to our project and case study gallery to see their choices on completed projects worldwide.”

Through GlassFinder™, users can download product literature and BIM files, order samples and select and share their favorites with others. Users can also quickly view their selections in Vitro’s digital glass simulator, VitroSphere™. Launched in the spring of 2022, the VitroSphere™ Digital Glass Simulator enables users to accurately visualize glass products’ color, transparency and reflectance on five different types of buildings at various times of day.

Users can also measure their selection's impact on annual operational carbon emissions and building energy use through the Vitro emissions™ Carbon & Energy Calculator, launched earlier this year.
