PITTSBURGH, July 14, 2026 – Vitro Architectural Glass, the largest glass manufacturer in North America, has helped shape Pittsburgh’s skyline with high-performance glazing solutions featured prominently in the new FNB Financial Center, a 26-story, Class A office tower anchoring the redevelopment of the Lower Hill District.

Completed in February of 2025, this landmark project showcases Solarban® R77 Acuity® glass and Solarban® 60 Acuity® glass, offering a balance of visual clarity, solar control and modern design versatility.

Designed by Gensler, FNB Financial Center is the first new multi-tenant office tower built in downtown Pittsburgh in more than 40 years. The development introduces approximately 550,000 square feet of Class A office and mixed-use space, along with public gathering areas that reconnect the neighborhood to the city.

The tower consists of Solarban® R77 Acuity® glass, offering a neutral-reflective, soft silver-blue aesthetic that captures the changing character of the sky while allowing clear exterior views and natural daylight to enhance the interior environment. Solarban® R77 Acuity® glass delivers a Visible Light Transmittance (VLT) of 49% and Solar Heat Gain Coefficient (SHGC) of 0.25.

At the podium level, Solarban® 60 Acuity® glass provides proven solar control performance and consistent daylighting across multiple design applications, delivering a VLT of 73% and SHGC of 0.41.

Together, these glazing solutions help enable the tower’s expansive floor-to-ceiling windows, delivering abundant natural light and panoramic views that elevate the workplace experience.

Vitro’s advanced glass technologies have helped shape both the performance and visual identity of a project redefining Pittsburgh’s future, in a city where its legacy dates to the founding of PPG Glass in 1883 and where its world-renowned Glass Technology Center remains based.
