Vitro Glass introduces new Tinted Glass Kit
New environmentally friendly sample kit previews range of blue, green, gray and bronze glasses
PITTSBURGH, Nov. 17, 2020 – Vitro Architectural Glass (formerly PPG Glass) has introduced a new Tinted Glass Kit featuring a range of uncoated blue, green, gray and bronze glasses.
The streamlined, foam-free package contains 4-by-6-inch uncoated samples of Solexia®, Atlantica®, Azuria®, Solarblue®, Pacifica®, Optigray®, Solargray®, Graylite® II and Solarbronze® glasses. The samples are packaged in a compact box that is easier to ship, story and carry, and more environmentally friendly than previous Vitro glass sample boxes.
Nathan McKenna, marketing and innovation manager, Vitro Architectural Glass, said the refreshed sample kit provides design professionals with an improved tool for evaluating glass aesthetics.
“By providing only uncoated tinted glass substrates, architects and designers can now quickly and easily evaluate each product’s true color,” McKenna explained. “Design professionals can then optimize performance and aesthetics for their projects by combining the tints with a range of Solarban® solar control low-e coatings or Vistacool® or Solarcool® reflective coatings.
“Plus, the new, compact packaging makes the kit easier to manage and easier on the environment.”
